With our innovative TEMPEX® TREME-Heat modular system, everyone can individually put together their own heat protection equipment. Alongside our Basic line, various equipment options can be combined with each other in the COMFORT and COMFORT Plus range – depending on the equipment requirements in the workplace. Two materials that are available for these comfort versions make them much more comfortable to wear: CK/12-Z with an extremely low grammage and AW-1/Y with a particularly soft knitted fabric as a backing material under the metallisation, which achieves C4, the highest protection level, for radiant heat.

The COMFORT features include ergonomically shaped sleeves, adjustable sleeve width, a slit at the back of the coat and the choice between hook-and-loop and press-stud fasteners, as well as different lengths. The heat protection trousers have a comfort waistband, with side elastic and long hook-and-loop fasteners at the sides to make them easy to put on and take off (even possible with casting boots).

The COMFORT Plus range offers the most comfortable version: alongside the COMFORT features, it also includes underarm ventilation as standard and optional back ventilation in the jacket and coat. For maximum freedom of movement, including optimal protection even when walking, the coat has a concealed pleat.

The new heat protection system is rounded off with gaiters, comfortable head covers, helmet covers, and face guards as well as bib- and half aprons, and aprons with sleeves, which are also available in comfort versions.

Our extremely lightweight fabric blend of 98% polyester and 2% carbon combines the exceptional, proven electrostatically dissipative quality of our ESD fabric with excellent particle retention. This collection therefore has important features for use in clean rooms and do not let small particles through.

HABETEX® ESD Comfort also has the “Breathable” quality label from the Hohenstein test institute. A coat is also part of the collection, alongside the overalls, and it comes in two designs: one for women, one for men. Our new shirts from the HB-MODArc® redefine PPE. The shirts are certified in accordance with arc flash protection class 1 and satisfy the requirements of EN 1149-5. The exceptionally high 50+ UV protection is higher than what is demanded by the norm and only one-fiftieth - in other words 2% - of all UV radiation can penetrate.

Clothing from both collections is produced from tried and tested Westex UltraSoft® antistatik fabric and has been in consistently high demand for years, particularly from regional and national energy suppliers and grid operators. For this reason, we have added a fashionable medium grey/anthracite colour combination to the HB-ArcSelect range.

HB-ArcSelect combines a high level of wearer comfort with excellent arc flash protection and also has an ideal standardised profile for the application in question. The clothing is certified in accordance with Class 1 or Class 2 and is therefore suitable for various potential hazards. All three available colour combinations can be bought in a 1-layer or a 2-layer design. The two-layer models are doubled up on the front and sleeves as well as the front trousers with an inner layer of the same material.

In particular, the needs and requirements of energy provider staff were taken into account when developing the collection. Particular emphasis was placed on durability and functionality alongside safety for the wearer, as well as ensuring that the material remains comfortable to wear even after a long period of time. The high cotton content plays a part here as it absorbs moisture well whilst also transferring heat away from the wearer. Another benefit is the relatively low material weight alongside its soft, but durable surface as well as the ergonomic fit.
